Milbank Plays Easter Bunny And Delivers Over 500 Easter Eggs To School Children
In the run-up to the Easter Holidays, the team at Milbank Concrete Products played Easter Bunny and delivered nearly 500 chocolate treats to children at two local schools, Earls Colne Primary School & Nursery and Great Tey C of E, bringing plenty of smiles before the children broke up for the break.
We have been supporting Earls Colne Primary School, located less than 10 minutes from our headquarters, for a number of years. With many of our employees’ children and family members attending the school, the connection is close to home and continues to be a key focus of our community efforts.
This year also marks the first time we’ve expanded the initiative to include another local school, Great Tey C of E. With only 80 pupils enrolled, Great Tey C of E is a small village school which has a high proportion of SEN children. We’ll be continuing to support the school throughout the rest of the year.
In addition to the local school deliveries, our team also arranged for a further 50 Easter eggs to be donated to Marleigh Primary Academy in Cambridge, through a generous initiative organised by one of our customers, Hill Group.
The Easter Egg initiative, first launched in 2023, has continued to grow in both reach and impact. What began as a simple gesture of goodwill has now become a core part of Milbank’s wider community and charity commitment for the year.
Jakki Sibley, Headteacher at Earls Colne Primary School commented: “Just wanted to drop you a line to say thank you to you and the team at Milbank for gifting the children Easter eggs again this year. Such a kind thing to do and it adds so much excitement to their end of term.”
Jenna Gosling, whose daughter attends Earls Colne Primary School, commented: “I just wanted to say thank you for your fantastic donation of Easter eggs to Earls Colne Primary. My daughter Mabel was thrilled, very kind of you.”
Last year, we donated an amazing 2% of our profits to a variety of charitable, community and educational initiatives, with beneficiaries including Essex and Herts Air Ambulance, SSAFA, Mind Mid and North East Essex and Earls Colne Primary School. We have pledged to do the same in 2025, incorporating support to even more local educational establishments such as Great Tey C of E. This pledge underscores the Milbank’s commitment to giving back and making a meaningful impact beyond its business operations.
