Position: Bespoke Projects Estimator

Salary: Negotiable DOE

Hours/Location: 40 hours (Mon-Fri) Office based – Earls Colne, CO6 2NS

Core Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for projects based on specifications, drawings, and other relevant documentation.
  • Evaluate drawings to produce accurate take-offs/mark-ups of the project.
  • Occasionally attend teams or site meetings with our customers to provide support when required.
  • Monitor project budgets and expenditures to ensure adherence to financial constraints.
  • Book and attend internal ‘project handover meetings’ to our Design and Production teams for sold projects.
  • Liaise with colleagues within the Sales & Estimating department regarding the project to increase the likelihood of securing the project.
  • Monitor the workload and prioritise your time in consultation with the Estimating Supervisor.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Project Estimator or in a similar role within the construction or engineering industry.
  • A strong level of computer literacy is essential, including knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite Programs. Additional knowledge of software such as Bluebeam and CAD software such as Autodesk is desirable although further training can be provided if necessary.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.
  • Self-motivated and methodical approach to providing an exceptional customer experience.

  • This position is full time, site based only. You will be working within a team; all aiming to achieve the same goal.
  • Access to your own transport would be ideal to allow teams to meet before travelling to site.
