Position: Precast Shuttering Carpenter

Salary: £13.00-£15.00 per hour. Hourly rate with a discretionary bonus linked to individual and company performance.

Hours/Location: Avg. 45 hours/week. Factory based CO6 2NS.

Milbank Concrete Products, a leader in the precast concrete industry, is seeking a Precast Shuttering Carpenter to join its production team. This hands-on role is integral to its manufacturing process, ensuring the wood/steel moulds are accurately prepared for casting.

 


Core Responsibilities

  • Build wooden shuttering to hold the form and measure with accuracy and cut material to the required tolerance.
  • Follow detailed CAD drawings to ensure accuracy.
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach to health and safety.
  • Comply with all Milbank Concrete Products (MCP) policies.
  • Double-check all work before casting to prevent errors.
  • Complete equipment husbandry checks on the shopfloor.
  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate with team leaders to ensure timely orders.
  • Actively participate in 5S (6S) and other projects aimed at continuous improvement and sustainability.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace (“clean as you go” culture).
  • Contribute to layout improvements to enhance efficiency.
