Milbank Group raise £250 for SSAFA Armed Forces Charity

We were more than happy to recently welcome Mike Blackwood, Divisional Treasurer from the Braintree arm of SSAFA – the Armed Forces charity, to collect our fundraising donation – pictured with Group Managing Director, Andy Mayne. In light of Armed Forces Day and our group support of the Armed Forces and their families, we held a fundraising event in conjunction with SSAFA and their annual ‘Big Brew Up’.

The ‘Bake & Donate’ event, held at all 4 of our group companies including Milbank Concrete Products, Sui Generis International, Cadman Cranes and ARK Agriculture, saw members of staff baking, donating and buying their favourite sweet treats in order to raise funds for a fantastic cause. In total across the group we raised over £240 which will go towards supporting serving personnel, veterans and military families across the UK.

With over 25 ex-Military and reservists employed across the group, the work SSAFA do to provide lifelong support to serving men, women and veterans from the British Armed Forces and their families or dependents is something that sits perfectly in line with our values as an employer and we will continue to offer our support wherever possible.
